FAMILIES FIRST
OUR MISSION
Our mission is clear: to organize charter school families to vote and advocate to create the conditions for more high-quality schools.
FORWARD THINKING
At Fort Worth Families Forward (F3), we know our work impacts voting behavior and turns parents out at higher rates, we need to expand our impact and engage parent leaders to take ongoing campaign actions on issues as they arise.
ACTIVATED PARENTS
We are dedicated to empowering charter school parents to actively participate in their communities. Our goal is to foster a sense of ownership and agency over their children’s education and promote a culture of civic engagement and community advocacy.
VOTER TURNOUT
We mobilize charter school families to participate in elections to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns addressed, advocating to ensure their children and their children’s schools can thrive.
ADVOCACY
We advocate for policy changes and school-level initiatives that address the needs of charter school families. Our efforts have tangible impacts, such as recent successes in exempting charter schools from transportation impact fees and ensuring school safety measures.
IN THE FIELD
In addition to the work we’re doing to increase voter turnout and empowerment among parents and leaders, we’re also reaching out directly through workshops and seminars.
IN THEIR WORDS
“My biggest takeaway is that there is power in numbers. The most positive experience I had was meeting another person and hearing their story on how they learned to advocate.”
PAL Fellowship Participant
