I feel that the importance of a good quality education, has been undermined by individuals political desires. We have to restore basic rights of direction back to families, while providing necessary support in areas they lack means for ensuring their children's success.
Communities shouldn't be divided between the haves and the have nots, there's sufficient funding for schools if politics is removed from the equation.

Public service requires balancing priorities that impact education, school safety, and community well-being. Candidates were asked to answer the following questions and provide a brief explanation for each response.

Grassroots support education should be of the greatest importance, everything begins with stronger communities. The federal, state, and local tax dollars that fund education should be distributed fairly without the political red tape which typically binda them. Transportation should be a right for all who require access. Will you ensure that charter school families have a voice in city policy discussions that impact education, facilities, and community resources? Safety should never be taken for granted, or minimized in it's effectiveness.
